The new look of the TOP500 Site
In time for the 30th TOP500 list, which will be released next week in Reno, Nevada, the TOP500 project has a new look and many new features that will make it easier to access the list and other related information.
We had a survey running the last few months that helped us understand what visitors of the site are missing. We have addressed most of issues and we will try to keep improving the site in the next few months.
Some of the new features are visible on all pages addressing issues of finding information on the site. To name a few:
- Improved navigation
- Easy access to current and past list using the top menu
- Direct access to charts and statistics on the side
- List related information like the current TOP 10 on the side
In addition to layout related improvements, we continue to expose more information from the TOP500 database, currently it is possible to view system and site histories, track development over time and we also provide detailed information about some of the top sites and systems.
Some of the new features:
- Improved historical charts.
- Improved statistics for countries and interconnects (more to follow)
